How we started collecting art
Evy Wee, Co-Founder of Our Hidden Talent by Luwee’s, shares how collecting art didn’t start as a passion. The very first piece of art we bought was meant to commemorate our new home and moving into it.
“In my everyday life, when I’m constantly moving, in meetings and making decisions, observing art slows me down. It makes me wonder… for the first time, my imagination and creative juice would flow. Because you know you are staring at something still, but behind it, the artist was probably trying to convey something.
It often makes me imagine what the artist was trying to say from one piece of art. And that’s how I think it all started.”

Why we started Our Hidden Talent by Luwee’s
Evy Wee, Co-Founder of Our Hidden Talent by Luwee’s, shares why she and her husband Zhiwei started the initiative to support aspiring talent to become a master in their craft.
“Every individual has an innate and unique talent. In today’s world, many of us are under a lot of pressure and have responsibility towards our family.
Not everyone has the chance to freely pursue their passion and I would like to encourage young talent to do something that they like and to perfect their craft.
We want to give people the courage to get started and at least give it a shot.”
